The high-quality CMK TOP 234 ECOCORD bulk microphone cable was especially developed for professional use in recording studios, during live events, broadcast environments, and permanent installations with increased EMC activity.

Design and special features:

  • Double shielding: Two copper spiral shields wound in opposite directions, combined with a PE fiber separation fleece, safeguard an almost complete coverage of 100%. As required, the opposite direction of movement covers unavoidable gaps in the single shield, thus providing maximum protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and effective suppression of high-frequency interference (RFI).
  • Conductors: Two wires with a cross-section of 0.34 mm² (AWG 22), made of OFC copper (Copper purity at least 99.99% Cu), ensure a stable low-loss signal transmission combined with high operational reliability.
  • Dimensionally stable TPE V-separator: It mechanically stabilizes the wires, improves electrical consistency (capacitance, impedance), and also effectively dampens mechanical vibrations (thus significantly reducing crosstalk and microphony effects).

  • Maximum protection against interference: The shielding offers a nearly 100% coverage, i.e. it ensures the effective suppression of electromagnetic (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) – crucial in EMC-challenged environments with LED technology or radio links.
  • Mechanical decoupling of the shields: The fleece acts as a sliding layer, thus reducing abrasion, preventing jamming, and increasing service life—particularly valuable when it comes to mobile applications such as touring or stage operation.
  • Stable winding structure: Even when subjected to movement or tensile stress, the counter-rotating winding remains intact, ensuring a permanently high shielding effect.
  • Flexibility and low microphony: The sliding properties of the shield layers keep the cable supple and flexible. At the same time, structure-borne noise transmission is reduced, thus preventing annoying microphony effects (crackling, popping).
  • Electrical safety during fault or failure occurrences: The separation layer can isolate unwanted ground potentials between the shield and the connector, thereby attenuating sheath current problems or feedback regarding the audio lines.
  • High thermal and chemical resistance: The TPE-V material is resistant to temperature fluctuations, oils, and plasticizer migration—i.e. the cable is ideally suited for tough live use and mobile cabling.
  • Suitable for touring: Thanks to its high flexibility, good elastic recovery, and its innovative PVC-free jacket, the cable retains its shape even after frequent coiling and uncoiling and is easy to handle.
