CGK 150 ECOCORD

Special
ECOCORD – 100% PVC-free

In the event and music industry, copper conductors are essential for high-quality sound and data transmission.
However, until now, PVC-coated cables have been the norm – a material with a problematic environmental footprint.
With its new ECOCORD cable line, CORDIAL is setting a sustainable milestone: The jacket and all insulation materials are completely PVC-free. The alternative is TPE-V – a recyclable material that is not only more environmentally friendly but also more energy-efficient to manufacture.

The production of TPE-V requires fewer resources than conventional PVC and, thanks to its manufacturing in Europe, also reduces the carbon footprint. At the same time, the material impresses with its durability: A mixture of elastic and resistant components ensures optimum flexibility, high notch resistance, and a long service life—crucial for sustainable use in the music and event industry.

• A mix of a soft/elastic and a hard component, which also results in a flexible cable.
• The rubber-like properties ensure flexibility, softness, and good windability.
• The hard components stand for recyclability, notch resistance, and high operating temperatures.
• 100% recyclable.
• Energy-saving in production.

The conductor area of 0.50 mm² (AWG 21 / conductor resistance < 39 Ω/km) ensures uncompromised signal transmission and crystal-clear sound.
Multiple shielding consisting of a braided shield and carbon semiconductor minimizes disruptive external influences (such as microphonic effects).

• 100% PVC-free
• Flexible, robust, drum-reelable
• TPE-V jacket for mobile indoor/outdoor applications
• Conductor cross-section of 0.50 mm²
• Braided shield made of bare copper wires (85% nominal coverage) on 2 x carbon semiconductor (minimizes microphonic effects)
• AWG 21

25 years of Experience

EDITION 25

CORDIAL has put over 25 years of professional experience into the development of the EDITION 25 series. Both the instrument cables and the microphone cables shine not only from the outside in a chic but robust textile jacket in black and gold, the inner values are also convincing:

The CGK 150 bulk cable, specially developed for the instrument cables, is simply twice as good. It impresses with an above-average conductor area of 0.50 mm² (twice as much as other textile cables) as well as a double shielding of braided screen and conductive plastic. The double jacket of PVC and textile fibres ensures high durability and at the same time is easy to wind and flexible to use.

The microphone cables are based on the proven CMK 234, which has been covered in a textile jacket. The above-average conductor area of 2x 0.34 mm² and the spiral shielding of bare CU wires ensure undistorted symmetrically transmitted signals. 27 fine copper strands per conductor provide special flexibility and good handling, and the double jacket made of PVC and textile fibres lies safely and comfortably in the vocalist's hand.
