“The Center of my Universe”

Johnny Cash’s refuge

This house is located about 40 miles southwest of Nashville, in Bon Aqua, a small town of 6,500 inhabitants, off the main thoroughfare to Memphis. Die-hard Johnny Cash fans will recognize it right away, of course. This was the musician’s safe haven. He bought the 106 acre property at the beginning of the 70s and here he lived, composed and recuperated from the hectic everyday life as a music superstar for 30 years.

In 2015, Sally and Brian Oxley acquired the unused estate, refurbished it and opened it to the public in July 2016. This magic place that Johnny Cash once called “the center of my
universe”.
